About me

I am a recent graduate in computer science from Long Island University Post, former division 2 scholar athlete, and academic award recipient. Throughout my studies, I have completed courses on human computer interaction (UI/UX), foundations of web design and development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery), agile development, and technical communication.

In my junior year, I worked as a graduate assistant and IT help desk technician before traveling to Italy for a semester at the Florence School of Fine Arts. In my senior year, I relocated to Incline Village, NV to work as an executive assistant at Sierra Nevada University. During my time working as an executive assistant, I completed my degree online and found my passion for web development and design.

These past few months have been spent improving my overall development and design skills. I am seeking opportunities to work in an environment that promotes learning and growth to enhance my skillset and knowledge of modern web development.

Object Oriented Programming

The course reviewed elementary language topics, and proceeds through other topics such as: foundations of data structures, class-based programming, inheritance, and polymorphism.

Foundations of Database

Topics include entity-relationship modeling; relational database design; information retrieval; backup and recovery; and security and authorization.

Agile Analysis and Design

This course presented an overview of the life cycle for information systems development. Topics include: information systems components (people, data, technology, and procedures), project life cycles, requirements analysis, modeling technologies, logical and physical design, implementation considerations, systems quality and testing, systems maintenance, and project organization and management.

Special Topics in CS & IS

This course covered client-side web programming with JavaScript and JQuery.

Human Computer Interaction

This course presented a thorough survery of current methods and approaches to analysis and development of user interfaces. This study focused on the three main aspects of human-computer interaction: the user, with emphasis on memory and mental modeling, the data, exploring diverse entity relationship modeling methods and the computer, looking at various relevant aspects such as state transition, input devices and display/result relationships.

Working in a Team Environment

This course examined the effective participation of information specialists, programmers, system analysts, and other professionals in vertical, horizontal, and cross-functional teams; techniques for communicating; tools for project management; metrics for benchmarking and continuous improvement; and the demands of various quality standards.

Technical Communication

This course involved the documentation techniques covering the entire lifecycle of the system development process. Human communciation problems are examined in relaiton to their impact on quality software development.
